Ques: What are key market trends that you are seeing in Global Services?
Ans: At a quick and high level, here we go:
- Buyers are focused on new geographies, vendor consolidation, deriving greater value from existing relationships and
- Suppliers are focused on expanding their share of the pie in existing accounts, improving margins, retaining employees and
entering new markets/geographies/clients.
- Trade and government bodies are focused on how to be more attractive destinations.
Ques: How do you currently manage risks associated with Global Services?
Ans: We manage it by monitoring our operations at three levels: country, city and partners. We are fortunate because we have this tool - GSRM!!!
Ques: Please expand on your views of location based risks vs supplier risks
Ans: Location based risks in global sourcing are most times a greater reason for disruptions than supplier based risks. So, we believe that one needs a comprehensive system that includes location and supplier based risks.
Ques: What would be an ideal risk management system for Global Services?
Ans: GSRM!!! or something that comes close!
